The Okavango is an African river, which rises in Angola in an area fairly rainy, and after a journey of nearly 1,000 km enters a endorheic basin, in Botswana, where it has formed a large region aluvional improperly called and known throughout the world as the Okavango Delta.

Thus, the Okavango Delta is an unusual case of Delta, in the sense that this river flows into the sea. In fact, it is not a true river delta, but an alluvial fan or cone deyección very large, which occurs where the Okavango river drains into a plain virtually endorheic with an atmosphere much drier than in their headers.
